Official: No promotion of Russian food takes place under grain deal
MOSCOW, Aug 11 (PRIME) – Moscow still hopes for fulfillment of the Ukrainian grain deal in the part that talks about promotion of Russian food on the global markets, Ivan Nechayev, deputy director of the media department of the Foreign Ministry, said on Thursday.
"Let us remind that the package of documents signed in Istanbul included agreements not only on exports of grain from three Ukrainian ports, which started a week and a half ago, but also on promotion of Russian food and fertilizers on the global markets, which is not being done," Nechayev said.
Ships with grain depart to the Western countries rather than the states in need questioning sincerity of concern about food security, Nechayev also said.
